When you first set up an account with us, you would have received an email with the details on how you can gain access to your control panel. If you have lost those details, feel free to raise a support ticket or call in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Navigate to&nbsp;<strong>Select PHP Version<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.freethought.group\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/SelectPHPVersion-1024x751.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4105\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>3. The setting we\u2019re looking for is&nbsp;<strong>max_execution_time<\/strong>. To change the limit, change the number in the text box to the right of the setting, it will then automatically save the new number once you click outside of the text box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"744\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.cloudabove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/PHPSettings2-1024x744.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kb.cloudabove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/PHPSettings2-1024x744.png 1024w, https:\/\/kb.cloudabove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/PHPSettings2-300x218.png 300w, https:\/\/kb.cloudabove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/PHPSettings2-768x558.png 768w, https:\/\/kb.cloudabove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/PHPSettings2-770x559.png 770w, https:\/\/kb.cloudabove.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/PHPSettings2.png 1192w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"banner-note\">\ud83d\udca1 <strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;The&nbsp;<strong>max_execution_time<\/strong> is configured in seconds, so for example if you want to set the limit to 2 minutes, you&#8217;d enter 120 in the text box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"banner-warning\">\u26a0\ufe0f <strong>Important:<\/strong>&nbsp;Please keep in mind you may start to encounter performance problems if the max execution time limit is set too high, the longer a process runs for the more server resources it will consume\/hold. <br><br>As a general rule most sites will be fine with a max execution time limit of 30-60 seconds, larger sites may need to increase this to 120 seconds or more to allow for more processes to complete successfully, however it&#8217;s recommend to keep it under 300 seconds (5 minutes).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.
