As a Reseller, you will be given access to a\u00a0WHM\u00a0<\/strong>account which provides various tools for managing the hosting of your clients such as creating new cPanel accounts via\u00a0WHM > Create a New Account<\/strong>, as well as listing any created accounts via\u00a0WHM > List Accounts<\/strong>\u00a0so you can find\/access specific accounts all from within\u00a0WHM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes you’ll also need to change the password for a cPanel account<\/strong>, this could simply be because your client has forgotten the password, or for security to prevent unauthorised access etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.\u00a0Login to your WHM account<\/strong>. The login credentials for this would have been sent to you in an email when you first set up an account with us. If you do not have these credentials, please contact support for further assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. When you first login you should see an option labelled\u00a0List Accounts<\/strong>. Alternatively, use the left hand menu to search for and navigate to\u00a0List Accounts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Use the Search For<\/strong> box, to search for the account you want to change the password for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc49Tip: <\/strong>In this example we’ve searched for the account using the Primary Domain<\/strong> on the account, but you can also search for a cPanel account<\/strong> using the cPanel Username<\/strong> or Package<\/strong> that’s assigned to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Click on the ‘+’ icon<\/strong> to the left hand side of where the domain is shown on the account, this will bring up an option to reset the password. Once you’ve entered the new password, click Change<\/strong> to save it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u26a0\ufe0fImportant:<\/strong>\u00a0Please make sure to set a\u00a0strong<\/strong>\u00a0password, the stronger the password the less likely it can be brute forced\/bypassed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udca1Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Once the password has been set it\u2019s not stored anywhere visible\/accessible, so we also recommend making the password memorable and\/or storing the password in a secure location (e.g. a password manager).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s it, you\u2019ve now changed the password for the\u00a0cPanel account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
