How to Find Mailchimp DNS Records for Domain Authentication
Setting up Mailchimp domain authentication improves email deliverability and keeps your messages out of spam. To set this up, Mailchimp requires adding specific CNAME / DKIM records to your domain’s DNS.
If you would like our support team to add these records on cloudabove for you, follow these quick steps to grab the exact text details we need.
⚠️ Important: We Need Text, Not Screenshots
Screenshots cannot be copied and pasted directly into DNS settings. To avoid typos, please send us the exact text values copied directly from Mailchimp.
Step-by-Step: Extract Your Records from Mailchimp
- Go to Domains: Log in to Mailchimp, click your profile icon > Account & billing (or Settings) > Domains.
- Start Authentication: Find your domain and click Authenticate.
- Copy the Records: Mailchimp will display two CNAME records. Click the Copy button next to the Name and Value for each.
What to Send Support
Paste the copied text in a support ticket using this format:
Record 1:
Type: CNAME
Name: [Paste Name here]
Value: [Paste Value here]
Record 2:
Type: CNAME
Name: [Paste Name here]
Value: [Paste Value here]
Once received, our team will update your cloudabove DNS records right away.
Next Steps & Propagation
- DNS Updates: DNS changes take 15–30 minutes (up to 24 hours in rare cases).
- Verification: Return to Mailchimp > Domains and click Re-authenticate.
- DNS Elsewhere? If your domain’s nameservers point outside of cloudabove (e.g., Cloudflare, GoDaddy), these records must be added at your DNS provider.
