Email Address Creation Requests on cPanel: Process & What to Provide
Setting up email accounts on your domain allows you to communicate professionally with clients and team members. You can easily set up new mailboxes yourself in cPanel or request our support team to create them for you.
To do so:
- Log in to your cPanel dashboard.
- Scroll to the Email section and click Email Accounts.
- Click the Create button on the right.
- Select your domain from the dropdown, enter your desired username (e.g.,
infoorjohn), and set a strong password. - Set your desired storage quota (or leave it as default).
- Click Create at the bottom. Your new mailbox is ready to use immediately!
What Details to Provide in Your Request If Requesting Support:
- Domain Name: The domain associated with the email (e.g.,
yourdomain.com). - Desired Email Address(es): (e.g.,
info@yourdomain.com,john@yourdomain.com). - Mailbox Quota Requirements: Let us know if you need specific storage limits.
- Forwarding Rules (Optional): Indicate if incoming messages should also forward to an existing address.
Processing Timeline & What to Expect
- Turnaround Time: Requests are processed by our team within 30 minutes of submission.
- Confirmation & Password Delivery: Once created, you will receive a secure update containing temporary passwords and complete client setup settings.
- Configuring Your Apps: Your confirmation email will include exact incoming (IMAP/POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) server details so you can easily connect your new email address to Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, or mobile devices.
