Transferring a .uk domain away from cloudabove

If you need to transfer a domain out of your cloudabove account, simply follow these steps:

1. Request your new registrar’s IPS tag
2. Login to your account via my.cloudabove.com
3. Navigate to Domains
4. Select the *.uk domain you would like to transfer
5. Click Release Domain under the left-hand Manage section
6. Enter your new registrar’s IPS tag and click Release Domain

*.uk domain transfers are typically instant, or at least completed within 24 hours. Once the domain’s tag has been changed, we are no longer able to manage or access the domain, you must continue with the transfer.

Keep in mind that transferring a domain does not transfer the domain’s services (e.g. DNS, email or website), it simply moves the domain registration from one provider to another.

💡 An IPS tag can usually be found within the registrar’s knowledge base or whilst requesting a domain transfer. Usually the tag is close to the brand, for example, GoDaddy’s tag is simply GODADDY.
