How long does it take for a domain to become active again after suspension?

If a domain has expired and the renewal is paid after the grace period, the website may still appear unavailable for a short time, even though the renewal has been completed.

Even though the renewal is virtually instant in most cases, it can take a further 24 hours before you’re able to see the website or begin using your emails again.

When a domain is suspended, it’s similar to a DNS or name server change, there’s a propagation time and whilst the site or email may not be working for you right now, it will be for others.

Unfortunately there’s not a lot that can be done to speed up the process, but you may be able to workaround the propagation by trying a different Internet connection (e.g. connecting to a VPN, tether to your phone, public or cafe WiFi) or restarting your router.

If after 24 hours you’re still having issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
